Bank/credit card reconciliations, categorization, month-end close, basic AP/AR tracking, sales tax posting (where applicable), and a standard financial package (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). 

Yes - Clean-Up and Catch-Up services are offered.  We scope a one-time project to clean/realign your file, then roll into a right-sized monthly plan. 

Yes - budgeting/forecasting, cash-flow planning, KPI dashboards, job costing, and monthly finance reviews are available in our Growth & Support and Advanced Advisory tiers. 

We coordinate with your payroll provider and CPA. We don’t file income taxes, but we prepare clean books, workpapers, and year-end packages so tax prep is fast and accurate. 

Primarily QuickBooks Online. We can review Xero or other tools on request and integrate apps like bill pay, receipt capture, and reporting add-ons. 

Pricing is customized by transaction volume, accounts, and complexity. Typical ranges: Essentials from ~$300/mo, Growth & Support ~$600–$1,000/mo, Advanced Advisory from ~$1,100+/mo. Clean-up/catch-up is a scoped, fixed project. 

 Motor City Ledger bills on a recurring monthly basis. Once your service package is set, your invoice amount stays consistent unless your scope changes. Billing is completed on the first of each month for that month’s services, so you always know what to expect and when. 

Month-to-month after an initial 90-day onboarding period. Cancel any time after that with 30 days’ notice. 

1) Discovery call and scoping, 2) Secure document portal setup and QBO access, 3) Clean-up (if needed), 4) First close and reporting cadence. Most clients are fully live within 2–4 weeks. 

View-only bank/credit card access or statements, current accounting file (if any), prior period tax returns, payroll info, and key contracts/subscriptions. 

At least monthly for close/review; more frequently for advisory clients. We’ll align on a “Friday Finance Reset” touchpoint to keep everything current, which you are able to book from our website at a time that best fits your schedule. 

We use encrypted tools, two-factor authentication, a secure document portal, and least-privilege access. We’ll never share or sell your data. 

You do. On request, we’ll provide exports of your reports and working papers. 

We’ll record and reconcile sales-tax liabilities and coordinate filings with your tax preparer or approved filing tool.
